Two decades ago, my international teaching journey began with a visit to Thailand, where I had the opportunity to witness a friend's passion for teaching English. This experience ignited my own interest in teaching and living abroad, prompting me to embark on my own path as a language teacher. After returning to Canada, I pursued various educational roles, including working with adults in the financial industry. However, my desire to embrace the excitement and challenges of teaching abroad persisted.

As an educator, I firmly believe that cultivating curiosity and interest are fundamental to achieving success in the classroom. Subjects such as science and mathematics should be seen as evolving modes of thought rather than static bodies of knowledge. The essence lies in understanding 'how' and 'why' conclusions are reached and how this knowledge can drive further exploration. I am committed to nurturing a scientific mindset in my students, encouraging them to formulate questions, generate ideas, and explore through rigorous investigation.

I advocate for the development of a strong passion for learning and knowledge across all disciplines. Respect for every field of study is essential, and students should embark on an authentic journey of self-discovery to identify their strengths and interests. Instead of fostering competition and isolation, I believe that the various subjects should complement each other harmoniously. When students leverage knowledge from one discipline to enhance their understanding of another, education becomes genuinely empowering, allowing them to explore the vast realms of human knowledge.
